Let’s face it…there is a lot going on in the world today and there are plenty of things to be anxious or upset about as a parent. But just because we are anxious or upset, doesn’t mean your child has to be that way! Too many times in my office I have a parent calling me in a panic about how upset their child is about something or how worried they are…only to sit down with the child and find out that they really don’t feel that way. To be effective as a parent we have to make sure that we are not projecting our own emotions on to our children. So how do we know when we are doing it?
